To quote Fast Eddie Felson, the pool shark made famous by Paul Newman in both “The Hustler” in 1961 andagain in 1986 in Martin Scorsese’s “The Color of Money,” “You gotta have two things to win.” Newman’s charactertells his “Color of Money” protégé (portrayed by Tom Cruise), “You gotta have brains and you gotta have balls. Now, you got too much of one and not enough of the other.”
